Welcome to PositiveFx. Let me start by saying I would have never set up this service if it was not for the help of my wife, as I am a trader first and foremost and trading dominates ALL my time on a daily basis… through choice I might add! I am very passionate about trading the FOREX market and I hope members of PositiveFX will develop a passion for trading as well in the future. Passionate to me means: dedicated and controlled with my trading as a whole, not trading for the sake of trading or being reckless in any aspect of the business.
As I have just mentioned thanks to my wife being able to work alongside me now (due to the birth of our son meaning my wife is at home with me on a daily basis and no longer working for her business in London) this service is possible and as is highlighted on the home page we hope to encourage other FOREX services to operate in a more black and white fashion by quoting actual entry, exit and target figures with a specific broker… why? Simple… so that the results are achievable, with no grey areas. We are NOT affiliated to any broker, we simply give our opinion, NOT financial advice whatsoever on what broker we have found the most reliable and user friendly and the trades we place are based around the brokers platform and data feed. I want to make it clear that this service is not like others that offer affiliate links (nothing wrong with that, just not our thing) we will not patronise you and say you have to subscribe before a certain time to get a better subscription price or write endless testimonials from happy subscribers, nor do we endorse any kind of EA or robot or anything else for that matter. We (myself and my wife, Lisa) are a team, I am the trader and my wife is the communicator between myself and the subscribers/members. Lisa will email our personal pending trades to you on a daily basis (and we also offer SMS if you wish to have this additional method of receiving our personal trades, which has proved popular as you do not need to wait by your computer for emails) so the operation of PositiveFX and www.positiveforex.com is all kept simple, clear and to the point.
Please feel free to read on for more general information, and contact us if you wish to ask something that is not covered here. We do not have a crystal ball and as such the future is unwritten, but I (Scott) trade everyday as I have done during my years of trading: leaving my ego and emotion at the door of the office and just trading with the information available to me by the FOREX market on a daily basis. I do not get emotionally involved in a trade, if a 100% trade set up occurs (weighing in all the information I have at my disposal) then I simply take the trade, let the trade ride out and move on to preparing for the next trade.
Additional background information:
I have always been interested in the money markets in general and have spent the last 12 years learning the trade. I have worked in London and Madrid in my time and for the first few years I did not get paid (other than basic living expenses). In return I made some good connections within certain banks and was able to learn how to trade from the people/traders/fund managers I 'assisted'... meaning I used to make tea, deal with simple administration duties etc. These traders that I 'assisted' mentored me over a few years and I developed an understanding for the markets in general, but I have always wanted to specialize and develop my own trading techniques.
When in Madrid I focused on my favourite market... FOREX. I spent 3 years in Madrid and I have to say I did not enjoy being away from home or my friends especially as all I did was study. It was my choice and I do not regret it, but it is important (in my opinion) to work hard to achieve long term fortune (be it money or any other goal). Whilst learning I also had another job to keep me afloat and pay for food and rent.
Basically from Madrid I came home to the UK and continued trading the FOREX market and also 'mentored' clients/work friends who where interested in trading for themselves or developing a better understanding of the FOREX market. I now focus on my trading, this service, occasional 'mentoring' and my new family. I live modestly but comfortably. Trading has offered me the opportunity to help my family out with certain expenses and will see my son off to a very good start in life. I am not in trading for the thrills or any kind of prestige, just to simply trade and profit.
